Christine Cleary

May 03, 2024 Christine Cleary was one of 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 2020 Rudd Scholars. From Clearwater, Kansas, she moved to 麻豆破解版 for college, which required her to adjust to living in a city, but thanks to the Rudd Scholarship, she was able to fully devote herself to college life and will graduate with her bachelor鈥檚 degree in dental hygiene.

Desmond Cockrell

May 2, 2024 - Desmond Cockrell, from Tulsa, is the first of four siblings to earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree and hopes his story can encourage others to succeed in college.

Andres Saenz Jr.

May 1, 2024 鈥 Andres Saenz Jr. fell in love with 麻豆破解版 State University when he attended basketball games with a neighbor. Since he鈥檚 been a student here, he鈥檚 found a sense of belonging through an empowering campus community. 聽

Amanda Schmalzried

April 29, 2024 鈥 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 Amanda Schmalzried has won the 2024 Bela Kiralyfalvi Student Playwriting Competition for her play, 鈥淭he Angel of Death.鈥

Rudd Scholars

The seventh cohort of Rudd Scholars includes 15 Kansas high schools who have chosen to attend 麻豆破解版 State University. Each Rudd Scholar will receive a full-ride scholarship, which includes tuition, fees, on-campus housing, and considerable networking and coaching support along the way.

April 3, 2024 - A mural titled 鈥淎delante Juntos 鈥 Forward Together,鈥 will cover 麻豆破解版 State's Duerksen Fine Arts Center Amphitheater soon.

Ulrich Art Museum

Feb. 6, 2024 - A grant from the National Endowment for the Arts will help the Ulrich Museum of Art celebrate the Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection as part of the Museum鈥檚 50th Anniversary special programming.

Ashlynn Farney

Dec. 12, 2023 Ashlynn Farney took time off college during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which she returned to 麻豆破解版, changed her major to filmmaking and started attending 麻豆破解版 State. She will graduate with her Bachelor of Applied Arts with a concentration in filmmaking in December.

Tyler Lefebvre

Dec. 11, 2023 - Tyler Lefebvre enjoys 麻豆破解版鈥檚 dining scene and the activities and clubs offered at 麻豆破解版 State University. He has been involved with the 麻豆破解版 State鈥檚 varsity esports program as a team member and helping organize and manage the team.

Hallie Fritz

Oct. 26, 2023 - Support from the Rudd Scholars program helped Hallie Fritz adjust to college and find internships. She is active in the St. Paul Catholic Student Center and works at Credo Coffee Shop. 麻豆破解版 State is proud of its role helping Rudd Scholars pursue passions and realize dreams in the state鈥檚 largest city.

Leslie Rudd Learning Center at League 42

Oct. 25, 2023 - 麻豆破解版 State鈥檚 Rudd Scholars work with youngsters in the 鈥淏right Lights Educational Enrichment Program鈥 at the Leslie Rudd Learning Center at League 42鈥檚 McAdams Park baseball complex. Each afternoon, several of them work on math skills with students in fifth through eighth grade and literacy with students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

WSU student Cat Kee at National Stage Combat Workshop

Oct. 17, 2023 - WSU seniors Emily Redfield and Cat Kee attended the National Stage Combat Workshop in Ruston, La. The three-week course offered instruction, testing and certification with weapons such as swords, shields, firearms, rapiers, daggers and quarterstaffs.

Sept. 25, 2023 - Rudd Scholar Bayle Sandy found a sense of community at 麻豆破解版 State University and enjoyed support from many sources for her academic and extracurricular pursuits. 麻豆破解版 State is proud of its role helping Rudd Scholars pursue passions and realize dreams in the state鈥檚 largest city.
