From Clearwater, Kansas, she moved to 麻豆破解版 for college, which required her to adjust to living in a city, but thanks to the Rudd Scholarship, she was able to fully devote herself to college life and will graduate with her bachelor鈥檚 degree in dental hygiene.

April 29, 2024 鈥� 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 Amanda Schmalzried has won the 2024 Bela Kiralyfalvi Student Playwriting Competition for her play, 鈥淭he Angel of Death.鈥�

The seventh cohort of Rudd Scholars includes 15 Kansas high schools who have chosen to attend 麻豆破解版 State University. Each Rudd Scholar will receive a full-ride scholarship, which includes tuition, fees, on-campus housing, and considerable networking and coaching support along the way.

April 3, 2024 - A mural titled 鈥淎delante Juntos 鈥� Forward Together,鈥� will cover 麻豆破解版 State's Duerksen Fine Arts Center Amphitheater soon.

Feb. 6, 2024 - A grant from the National Endowment for the Arts will help the Ulrich Museum of Art celebrate the Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection as part of the Museum鈥檚 50th Anniversary special programming.

Dec. 12, 2023 鈥� Ashlynn Farney took time off college during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which she returned to 麻豆破解版, changed her major to filmmaking and started attending 麻豆破解版 State. She will graduate with her Bachelor of Applied Arts with a concentration in filmmaking in December.

Dec. 11, 2023 - Tyler Lefebvre enjoys 麻豆破解版鈥檚 dining scene and the activities and clubs offered at 麻豆破解版 State University. He has been involved with the 麻豆破解版 State鈥檚 varsity esports program as a team member and helping organize and manage the team.

Oct. 26, 2023 - Support from the Rudd Scholars program helped Hallie Fritz adjust to college and find internships. She is active in the St. Paul Catholic Student Center and works at Credo Coffee Shop. 麻豆破解版 State is proud of its role helping Rudd Scholars pursue passions and realize dreams in the state鈥檚 largest city.

Oct. 25, 2023 - 麻豆破解版 State鈥檚 Rudd Scholars work with youngsters in the 鈥淏right Lights Educational Enrichment Program鈥� at the Leslie Rudd Learning Center at League 42鈥檚 McAdams Park baseball complex. Each afternoon, several of them work on math skills with students in fifth through eighth grade and literacy with students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Oct. 17, 2023 - WSU seniors Emily Redfield and Cat Kee attended the National Stage Combat Workshop in Ruston, La. The three-week course offered instruction, testing and certification with weapons such as swords, shields, firearms, rapiers, daggers and quarterstaffs.
