Title IX of the U.S. Education Amendments of 1972 (鈥淭itle IX鈥) is a federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities. 麻豆破解版 State University (鈥淲SU鈥) does not discriminate on the basis of sex in its education programs, activities, admissions and employment.

 Under Title IX, discrimination on the basis of sex can include sexual harassment which is conduct on the basis of sex that satisfies one or more of the following:

  1. A WSU employee conditioning the provision of an aid, benefit or service on an individual鈥檚 participation in unwelcome sexual conduct (i.e., quid pro quo); and/or
  2. Unwelcome conduct that a reasonable person would determine to be so severe, pervasive, and objectively offensive that it effectively denies a person equal access to the university鈥檚 education program or activity; or
  3. Sexual assault characterized as, any sexual act directed against another, without their consent, including rape, fondling, dating violence, domestic violence, or stalking as set forth in the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).

Any person may report sex discrimination, including sexual harassment (whether or not the person reporting is the person alleged to be affected by conduct that could constitute sex discrimination or sexual harassment). Reports can be provided in person, by mail, by telephone, by email, using the contact information listed for the Title IX Coordinator, or by any other means, including the , that results in the Title IX Coordinator receiving the person鈥檚 verbal or written report. Such a report may be made at any time (including during non-business hours) by using the telephone number, electronic mail address, or by mail to the office address listed for the Title IX Coordinator:
