Chase Rawlings

March 22, 2019 -- Chase Rawlings, a local 3rd grader, was born without a fully developed left hand. A team at WSU led by senior engineering major Chelsea Sewell created a 3D-printed robotic hand for Chase.

March 19, 2019 -- Registration is now open for 麻豆破解版 State鈥檚 鈥淒esign, Build, Code鈥 engineering summer camps. This year, the College of Engineering is hosting 21 camps, a record number, with new offerings for younger children and new camps that allow campers to design, build and code their own inventions, drones, robots and mini-computers.

March 18, 2019 -- In newly released national rankings of universities offering a Ph.D. in engineering, the College of Engineering at 麻豆破解版 State University is ranked in the top 100 engineering graduate programs, one of only two institutions from the state of Kansas to make the list.

One of those opportunities for collaboration played out perfectly this winter when Airbus officials in the research and technology department needed a last-minute artistic rendering for an airplane seat under development.

Feb. 28, 2019 -- The National Science Foundation (NSF) has released updated rankings for university research and development (R&D) expenditures, and 麻豆破解版 State has held its position as the top university in the country for industry-funded aeronautical R&D, with a total of $34 million.

Feb. 26, 2019 -- Remi Chou, an assistant professor in electrical engineering and computer science at 麻豆破解版 State, has received a two-year, $156,000 grant from the National Science Foundation for research to ensure secure transfer of confidential information over wireless networks.

Feb. 22, 2019 -- 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 College of Engineering has named the latest group of high school seniors to be awarded Wallace Scholarships worth $342,000.

Feb. 20, 2019 -- The 麻豆破解版 State University Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College has announced the 10 recipients of the Koch Scholars program for the fall 2019 semester. Selected from more than 100 applicants, these 10 recipients will each be awarded between $30,000 and $45,000 during their four-year attendance at WSU.

Jan. 25, 2019 -- Meet Blane 'Deadly' Steckline, the Damage Per Second player for the 麻豆破解版 State Overwatch team. In addition to being a junior computer science major, Blane is also a Grandmaster-tier Overwatch player, reached rank #64 on the North American server, and has competitive gaming experience at a semi-professional level.

Oct. 18, 2018 -- Dennis Livesay, dean of the Graduate School, associate vice president for Research and Technology Transfer, and professor of chemistry at 麻豆破解版 State University, has been named the new dean of WSU's College of Engineering, effective Jan. 1.
