SBIR/STTR Program Opportunity Info Session

The DAF has changed the approach with its Open Topic SBIR/STTR program, making their
process
reflect a more venture capital-like, rapid-turnaround, with an application-oriented
approach. The
program presents a significant early-stage funding opportunity for technology entrepreneurs
with
products and services that can solve problems for the Air Force.
Topics to be covered:
- Specific Topics: A more traditional approach for specific technologies and solutions
- Open Topics: What is different about the DAF Open Topic SBIR/STTR program
- Direct to Phase II: Qualified entrepreneurs can move more quickly through the program
- Significant changes to STTR that benefit both entrepreneurs and research institutions
- The emergence of opportunities with the Space Force through SpaceWERX
- How to improve your chances of a successful proposal and evaluation
- What you can do now to prepare for an Open Topic PI or D2P2 proposal

Group, Inc. This training will provide an SBIR/STTR overview & abbreviated Phase I
Proposal Preparation, with an emphasis on Dept. of Defense, including a 7-step process
for creating a competitive Phase I proposal. The webinar will also discuss the Dept.
of Defense solicitations/BAAs, both regular and annual/out-of-cycle.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), in collaboration with the Applied Research Institute and the National Strategic Research Institute, is hosting a DARPAConnect Regional Pop-Up event in Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024.
With the goal of breaking down barriers of entry, this event is designed to educate, motivate, and inspire new potential performers from small businesses, industry, and academia to engage with DARPA to grow the national security innovation ecosystem.
This one-day events offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into DARPA through engaging sessions led by DARPA office directors, program managers and staff. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers directly from DARPA leadership. Note that one-on-one conversations with DARPA leaders and program managers will be exclusively available to our in-person attendees, and space is limited. Registration for in-person attendees includes breakfast, lunch, and refreshments.
