Overview

Werner Golling became vice president for Finance and Administration in January 2017.

Golling served as vice president for Administration and Finance at Emporia State University since 2014 with many of the same areas of responsibility as he has at WSU, including oversight of all financial, facilities, public safety and human resources matters.

From 2009 to 2014, Golling was chief financial officer and human resources director at Aldevron, a private company in the biotechnology field.

Prior to that, he served as treasurer and vice president for business affairs / vice president for operations at Concordia College from 2002 to 2008.

Golling earned a bachelor's in management from Shippensburg University and a master's in business administration from Boston University.

About the role

The Vice President for Finance and Administration is the chief financial officer of the University and is responsible for developing, implementing and assessing the financial management plans and activities of the University. The Vice President also provides leadership and support to the University community in the planning and management of the budget office, facilities planning, physical plant, police, purchasing, financial operations and business technology, human resources, financial reporting and debt management, and auxiliary services.
