Admission to the program

For admission into the Master of Music program, you must:

  • Be admitted to the WSU Graduate School
  • Have a Bachelor of Music degree in your area of specialization
  • Successfully complete an audition

Student musicians come together for WSU's longest-running music tradition

Students with a chamber music concentration have many opporunties to showcase their musical talent.

麻豆破解版 State's longest-running musical tradition is the annual Candlelight Concert. The concert was modeled after the famous St. Olaf College Christmas Festival.

Student musicians from a variety of disciplines are heard by eager audiences who have enjoyed the annual event for nearly 60 years.

Curriculum

To complete the Master of Music degree, you'll take a minimum of 32 credit hours, with 60 percent of your work in courses numbered 700 or above, and complete a thesis or recital depending on your concentration.

Every MM concentration requires 12 credit hours of core courses鈥攊n addition to hours in your specialization area.
