May 8, 2024 — Hundreds of people gathered Wednesday, May 8 to celebrate the start of Phase One construction on the new 鶹ƽ Biomedical Campus, a $300 million, 471,000-square-foot joint health sciences center in the heart of downtown 鶹ƽ.

March 14, 2024 - For a second year, 鶹ƽ State University will show off its unique cultural and educational assets while welcoming the community to campus during Open Streets ICT - WSU and Shocker Neighborhood on April 14.

Feb. 29, 2024 — The College of Applied Studies at 鶹ƽ State University has appointed four distinguished professionals to its Dean's Advisory Board. They are Alicia Sanchez, Amy Williams, Ed O'Malley and Kyle Ellison.

Feb. 13, 2024 — The College of Engineering at 鶹ƽ State University is hosting a public 5k run/walk that is open to students, staff, faculty and community members. The 5k will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 on the WSU campus. Registration proceeds from the 5k will go toward the College of Engineering Needs-Based Scholarship Fund.

Feb. 6, 2024 - A grant from the National Endowment for the Arts will help the Ulrich Museum of Art celebrate the Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection as part of the Museum’s 50th Anniversary special programming.

Feb. 1, 2024 — The College of Engineering at 鶹ƽ State University is hosting an Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) event, commonly known as Girl Day, for high school girls from 鶹ƽ and the surrounding area.

Jan. 19, 2024 - Phase One of the 鶹ƽ Biomedical Campus being built in the heart of downtown 鶹ƽ now has its official look. The joint health sciences project between 鶹ƽ State University and the University of Kansas will bring about remarkable opportunities for collaboration, innovation and research.

Oct. 25, 2023 — 鶹ƽ State University is hosting the annual Expanding Your Horizons Workshop, a one-day event from 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 that introduces middle school girls to a variety of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) areas.

Oct. 25, 2023 - 鶹ƽ State’s Rudd Scholars work with youngsters in the “Bright Lights Educational Enrichment Program” at the Leslie Rudd Learning Center at League 42’s McAdams Park baseball complex. Each afternoon, several of them work on math skills with students in fifth through eighth grade and literacy with students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Oct. 9, 2023 — The 鶹ƽ State University Math Circle pairs pre-college students with mathematics professionals from WSU to understand and work with interesting problems and topics in math at weekly workshops.

Retirees event

Oct. 4, 2023 — 鶹ƽ State University has announced the creation of the WSU Retiree Association (WSURA), aimed at providing new paths for Shocker faculty and staff retirees to continue active engagement with the university. The new association adds to the existing array of perks available to retirees.
