Nov. 29, 2023 — The first carrier-neutral Internet Exchange Point (IXP) in Kansas is slated to be located at 鶹ƽ State University, improving internet access, affordability and speed for WSU, Innovation Campus and Shocker Neighborhood users and for users across much of Kansas.

Oct. 19, 2023 — The Association of University Research Parks (AURP) has awarded 鶹ƽ State’s Innovation Campus with the 2023 Emerging Research Park Award at its annual international conference held this week.

Oct. 11, 2023 鶹ƽ State University and Knowmadics are entering into a new collaboration aimed at enhancing the security, and resiliency of satellite constellations and satellite-based communications. The endeavor is intended to strengthen the security of data collection and transfer among space-based Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

Sept. 21, 2023 — The U.S. Small Business Administration awarded $150,000 to 鶹ƽ State University to assist in providing resources and support for small businesses and startups focused on STEM and research and development.

Sept. 18, 2023 — The community will soon have a new restaurant to choose from when Two Hands Corn Dogs opens on 鶹ƽ State University’s campus Friday, Sept. 22.

Sept. 11, 2023 — 鶹ƽ State University is holding a parade next month and is inviting anyone in the community to join in. Starting at 6 p.m. Oct. 6 on the WSU campus, the parade is part of the university’s annual Shocktoberfest celebration.

Aug. 15, 2023 - Hannah Bui is now prepared to work with French-speaking colleagues at Airbus, thanks to “Business French for Beginners” taught by 鶹ƽ State University lecturer Rachelle Swilley. Bui, a static stress engineer at Airbus, was one of about 15 employees who took the six-week course, taught for two hours each Friday, this summer at Airbus on WSU’s Innovation Campus.

July 20, 2023 - As 鶹ƽ State University’s Innovation Campus approaches its 10th anniversary, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities is recognizing the Innovation Campus’ role in cultivating research and innovation. The APLU today named 鶹ƽ State University as one of five finalists for its 11th annual Innovation & Economic Prosperity (IEP) University Awards.

July 10, 2023 — A new Jersey Mike’s Subs is set to open Wednesday, July 12 in 鶹ƽ State University’s Braeburn Square on the Innovation Campus.

March 17, 2023 — Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Director Steven Dettelbach and Senator Jerry Moran recently visited 鶹ƽ State University to announce plans for a unique new National Forensic Laboratory at 鶹ƽ State. The forensic laboratory is a new $75 million facility that will complement the Gun Crime Intelligence Center of Excellence and National Integrated Ballistic Information Network Correlation and Training Center, which were announced last summer.

March 13, 2023 — The Innovation Campus, which is a physical extension of the 鶹ƽ State University main campus, is one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing research and innovation parks, encompassing over 120 acres and is home to a number of global companies and organizations.

Feb. 22, 2023 — Braeburn Square on 鶹ƽ State University’s Innovation Campus is transforming the dining and shopping scene in 鶹ƽ. With four new tenants — Sesame Mediterranean Kitchen, Jersey Mike’s, Two Hands Corn Dogs and Pedego 鶹ƽ — the shopping center is fully occupied and fast becoming a hub for all 鶹ƽns to gather, feast and shop.

Nov. 7, 2022 — In recognition of its strong commitment to economic engagement, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) has designated 鶹ƽ State University as an Innovation & Economic Prosperity (IEP) University.

Oct. 20, 2022 — The FirePoint Innovations Center at 鶹ƽ State University wrapped up the second year of its Future Innovators Program, an engineering internship opportunity that provides some of America’s brightest engineers from historically under-represented communities the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and programs that directly support the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Center and the Department of Defense.
